The so-called email from Alain Crozier, the chief financial officer of SMSG was sent two days prior to the iPad 3 launch and it read:
On being questioned about this Microsoft simply had to say “no comment” instead of denying.
So according to Alan Crozier, the Apple product purchase levels have currently gone down but a little changeover might be possible for its execution. Microsoft since long has been providing its employees with free products like iPhones and other such devices. And now this thing about Microsoft not allowing employees to buy Apple product doesn’t seem plausible enough to some while others feel it’s quite okay.Within SMSG we are putting in place a new policy that says that Appleproducts (Mac & iPad) should not be purchased with company funds. In the US we will be turning off the Apple products from the Zones Catalog next week, which is the standard purchasing mechanism for these products.Outside of the US — we will work with your finance and procurementteams to send the right message and put the right processes in place.
