The iOS development community had been forewarned by Apple not to access the UDID that is a user’s unique identifier found in every iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It is a kind of unique alphanumeric string to get registered. The Apple had said outright that it would reject applications that accessed the UDID if they were submitted to the App Store.

And now Apple rejecting UDID app policy is finally going to be implemented in the App Store. According to TechCrunch, those Apple teams that are favoring apps for the App Store normally have now been heard to be rejecting the apps accessing the downgraded UDID identifier in iOS. Currently only two review teams have turned down such apps but the number of teams is supposed to rise in the coming weeks.

A Canadian developer, Victor Rubba said that they’re making efforts to act practically and have therefore turned over to an alternative scheme. Meanwhile, they are waiting for the situation to change and then act accordingly. A new system is required to help out the developers who have been selling their user base’s UDID collection.
