iTunes and App Store are largely responsible for Apple’s income being the essential part of the smartphone and tablet markets. The App Store has always been improving and remained unparalleled since its arrival with the iPhone and even today in spite of the growing competition it has held on to the number one position and the credit goes to the success of iDevices especially the iPad.
iTunes Store hasn’t been upgraded since a couple of years and as it said there’s always the need for upgrading it’s important for Apple to redesign iTunes Store. According to reports Apple is planning on a more interactive way with which the users can find the new software. With this they won’t have to search through the different app review sites.
According to Mark Gurman of 9to5 Mac Apple is putting forth efforts to making the new design more user-friendly as the main concern behind Apple to revamp iTunes Store is to make it more interactive and appealing to the users. And this would not be gained unless Apple houses the iTunes Store in a full-fledged application. So there are going to be new and much more interactive features covering not just music but also movies, apps and even the new iBookstore.
When we talk of Apple to redesign App Store or Apple to revamp App Store we understand its need for consistency and interactivity. We can also say this decision of the Apple may be related to the release of Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion this summer or to the iPhone 5 release in fall 2012.
