Users having iPads with built-in keyboards often miss the physical ones, the QWERTY keyboards that can be felt. But, they won’t, not any more as the Touchfire is now out in the market. It’s a transparent screen-top keyboard that fits perfectly on the iPad’s on-screen keyboard allowing the keys below to be clearly visible. This brilliant screen-top keyboard for iPad has been invented by Steve Isaac and Brad Melon and is am amazingly responsive concept.
The Touchfire easily fits over the iPad’s cover as it is too thin as well as flexible, made of lightweight silicon with numerous micro-structures within it. It makes the users get the feel of an actual keyboard and at the same time being tough enough not to be spoilt by the pressure of the fingers. The Touchfire’s glove like fit is due to a pair of clips and magnets built in the iPad 2 itself. It is said to be thinner than a credit card. In fact it is so thin that it is almost invisible unless you wish to make use of it.
Financing almost over $86,000 on this project, the Touchfire team presents two different types of packs – Standard Pack (keyboard, storage case and pair of cover clips) for $45 and Variety Pack for $80 (Two TouchFire keyboards, one black and one white, two storage cases and 5 pairs of cover clips in colors that complement theiPad Smart Covers).
