The latest rumour about the Apple’s iPad is that this year would be seeing the launch of two new tablets. TheiPad 3 release date is said to be somewhere in March, that is a year after the launch of iPad 2 and reports are that an iPad 4 will also be arriving around October this year. According to DigiTimes, iPad 3 features would include the much awaited better Retina Display and iPad 4 is said to come with, “killer applications” that is with a new QXGA display with resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. The third-generation device will also offer better battery life.
Considering the past history of Apple’s device releases, it can’t be confirmed that the company would be planning to release two new tablets in the same year and that too with a difference of just six months. But going by the report of DigiTimes, Apple is out to release two tablets to fend off a Google branded tablet with Windows 8version rumoured to be released this year.
The 9.7-inch iPad 4 is also expected to come with a much upgraded hardware specifications and integratedapplications in competition with an array of Android-, Wintel- or WoA (Windows on ARM)-based tablet PCs to be released in the fourth quarter as reported by sources. The launch of the new iPad 3 in March,is said to bring about a drop in the price of the iPad 2 to $399 as reported earlier.
So, going by reports Apple is planning for their tablet release in 2012, that’s the iPad 3 in March 2012 and iPad 4 release date would be in October 2012.
