Rumors are rumors even if they are from a reliable and accurate source. Boy Genius Reports, known as the BGR is one such trusted source which has recently brought out an article regarding Apple’s next-generation iPhone, which is said to coming in the fall of 2012. It could, however, take even more time than that to be launched as release dates are subject to changes and so are the designs of the models.
If the report is true and the next iPhone comes in the fall of next year, it would be around the same time asApple’s iPhone 4S was launched this year. Now while the iPhone 4S was merely a better model than its predecessor with no particular innovations, people are wondering whether the next iPhone too would be identical to its predecessor, the iPhone 4S.
The source has been quite confident about iPhone 5 release date being in the fall of 2012 that is the final quarter of
2012. Next thing is that Apple is said to be planning to use rubber or plastic in the production this time. It would be like the material used in Apple’s bumper cases. The main form is not likely to be built with this material. In fact that would be just like a bezel surrounding the device. According to reports, the next iPhone would have a larger four-inch display and an aluminum case.
With the use of bezel, Apple aims to join the glass iPhone face with a new aluminum black plate and cover the new and redesigned antenna system surrounding the device. The other reason is to allow Apple build the rear case of aluminum without the need of using a large plastic insert above the antennas like Apple usually does on its iPad 2.
